After receiving the commission, I discussed with the owner about a sea-themed creative direction for Penghu. The idea of the South Penghu Sea's lavender forest and the recent sightings of whale sharks in Penghu waters intrigued me. Many people were surprised by the presence of whale sharks in Penghu at first. Lately, there have been numerous reports of sightings in both the South and North Seas. I've always known that various types of sharks resided in Penghu waters. After assessing the construction space with the team, the lavender sofa inspired us to create a lavender forest. The vibrant purple color creates the illusion of being in a lavender forest when sitting there.
